Stonefold holiday cottage is a 16th century barn/shippon conversion which is set in open moorland in the beautiful Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It has spectacular views of the Hodder Valley and the Three Peaks making it an ideal base for walking, cycling, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking or simply to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Adjoining our own property, this recently renovated barn/shippon has been tastefully converted into a warm and comfortable self-catering cottage with exposed beams and flagged floors. The cottage has been given a well-deserved 4 Star Gold award and a level 2 Mobility award from Quality in Tourism.

On the ground level there is a spacious open plan lounge with flagged floors, two comfortable sofas and a stone built fireplace with a log effect gas stove. The dining area will easily seat 5 and from where you can sit and admire the views from the window. A well-equipped oak kitchen includes an electric hob, fan assisted oven/grill, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment and is equipped to a very high standard.

Also on the ground floor are a spacious twin bedroom and a walk in shower/wet room with toilet and hand basin. On the first floor there is a luxury double bedroom with beamed ceiling and an en-suite with power shower, toilet and basin. The cosy single bedroom is beautifully furnished and includes a pretty day bed and a view through the velux window. A separate utility room includes a washing machine, freezer, drying facilities and plenty of storage space. The cottage opens out onto a patio and well maintained garden with garden furniture where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside and fantastic views.
